A little taste of Disney

One of the only itches I have bigger that crafting is DISNEYLAND!  I know you are with me on that.  My family and I went last year.  My Sister-in-law and I have been getting together regularly to scrapbook our time at the most magical place in the world.  I am slowly getting there.  Lets be honest for the over 900 pictures that I took, I may be working in it for a long time.  I am not one of those who can do a 2 page layout of the trip and call it good.  No I make an entire album, perhaps two this time, LOL.  I searched the Internet for inspiration from others pages and didn't find many.  Perhaps I just don't know how to search.  So I thought to post a few of my Disneyland layouts.  Enjoy or not, its up to you.
My First page

I have a pictures of my kids jumping across the hotel beds.  I used CTMH canvas buttons and colored pencil to create the look of a mattress for the page.

Our first day.  I always use our tickets in the layout.  You may need to de-acidify them first if your picky ;)

Nemo ride.  Take pictures of the rides names or cars, very fun to add to a layout.  I also used eyelets for the submarine windows.  So fun.

I use my cricut a lot. Between me and my Sis we have enough options to accent any page.

Character meetings. Because we went at Christmas time, not only did I have a Disney theme but obviously Christmas.  I don't know if that is good or bad.

For this layout I created some of my own paper.  The top piece is done by stamping and embossing snowflakes onto white paper and then using a resist technique I sponged red ink over the paper.  Then I tore the paper to create the rough edge.  The Pluto (and most of the other cutouts ) is cut from Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge.

As shown below I outlined this layout by stitching red and yellow thread all around.

Again with the Cricut, gorsh!

I seriously have a ways to go.  But slow and steady wins the race.  Or at least still enjoys scrapping when its all said and done.

Ingredients:

Many of my layout inspirations came from ideas in Jeanette Lynton's How-to-books.
Paper is from my Disney stash saved over the last umpteen years as well as my CTMH paper
Various Cricut carts were harmed in the making of this movie...
Mainly used Mickey and Friends
Various Close to my Heart Acrylic stamps were also used for this production
If you have any other inquiries just email me.  Thanks!

Valentine gifts

I don't get a lot of projects done in order to post here on a regular basis.  Working on raising little people.  But I did get a few Valentines made for my children's teachers and a few neighbor treats.  I know this is a bit late for your Valentine projects but they really show off the great projects that can be made any time of year using the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge for the Cricut.  I have been wanting to do all of the fun things possible since I purchased it but haven't taken the time.

I stuffed these little goodies with yummy Ghirardelli chocolates.

This is a great deal.  Even if you don't scrapbook online you know others that do and who doesn't like gift cards?  Buy one get one free= 10 layouts for $55 dollars,  includes shipping and handling.  That is $2.75 a page.
I personally do Classic Scrapbooking but this past year I made two additional scrapbooks, one for my parents and one for my in-laws.  I would never have done those by hand, so much time and work. But with Studio J they were done quickly and beautifully.  Thus making these 5 packs great to have on hand for those times when you want pages done Simply and Beautifully.
Or if you have been on the fence about online scrapping this is a great time to try it out with no commitment.  You don't have to be a member to use these.  Create your pages and redeem your card at checkout and you are done.
