It was a headache to figure out how to get back to my blog, it was there, somewhere in the universe, but I couldn't get to it. So I finally deleted (after saving my posts) and am starting over. I know blogs are sort of the yesterday media but sometimes they communicate better than others. So here I go again.<br />
I will have to reconstruct the face of my blog. I could save my posts but apparently not the design. With the limited time I have on hand (I do have a 4 and 1 year old) I will try and get it looking all cutsie and professional again. Thank you for your support!<br />
<br />
To kick things off here is a bit of inspiration. The paper is only available through the month of May but the stamps set are available through the year.<br />

Honestly I have been okay with that. It has given me time to complete a list of projects/crafts that I had wanted to do, before the beautiful weather played a siren song to lure me outdoors. And besides a card I have been working on I have done pretty well completing said list.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmzuRAoPnXht4RKyBIw6yEzj_n1dCjzu86vzxqWBxNIOcTc8ouV3taXr5Mn208_YjuGYaoufrxUaMxw-zEdOHe3xLltGTXFSNuaSQUfOjV2babOtp1Jy_CrVsehUhw33Kl4wvdrM7O1Oo/s1600/IMG_4382.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmzuRAoPnXht4RKyBIw6yEzj_n1dCjzu86vzxqWBxNIOcTc8ouV3taXr5Mn208_YjuGYaoufrxUaMxw-zEdOHe3xLltGTXFSNuaSQUfOjV2babOtp1Jy_CrVsehUhw33Kl4wvdrM7O1Oo/s320/IMG_4382.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> My first project was this Spring wreath, inspiration from Pinterest. I actually got a kick out of my husband expression when he saw me working with yarn. I think he was a little worried. lol. But after adding the "fuzzy" yarn he was a little less nervous for me. I don't work with yarn much ;) This project isn't on my "FAVE" list of things I've made but it turned out alright. <br />I did wrap the wreath ( the cheapest I could find, a straw one) with inexpensive green yarn before I wrapped the yummy yarn around it. It saved on cost, I didn't even use the whole skein of fuzzy yarn, so I have some for other projects, yay. <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuA3yVxCR-ZUfUscfYeYcT4J3g9cXqhiKhFmQ-HByJhvAdR0HFDVLvvgKBcPgUgKtJVHCI6IAOyhWVDaK0nK7dW67bPDQOnWEq55ugeOhASN_tjkYSngzKsHDi8CNJC7W9uFRTRbwxWK6_/s1600/IMG_4448.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"> </a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuA3yVxCR-ZUfUscfYeYcT4J3g9cXqhiKhFmQ-HByJhvAdR0HFDVLvvgKBcPgUgKtJVHCI6IAOyhWVDaK0nK7dW67bPDQOnWEq55ugeOhASN_tjkYSngzKsHDi8CNJC7W9uFRTRbwxWK6_/s1600/IMG_4448.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuA3yVxCR-ZUfUscfYeYcT4J3g9cXqhiKhFmQ-HByJhvAdR0HFDVLvvgKBcPgUgKtJVHCI6IAOyhWVDaK0nK7dW67bPDQOnWEq55ugeOhASN_tjkYSngzKsHDi8CNJC7W9uFRTRbwxWK6_/s1600/IMG_4448.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuA3yVxCR-ZUfUscfYeYcT4J3g9cXqhiKhFmQ-HByJhvAdR0HFDVLvvgKBcPgUgKtJVHCI6IAOyhWVDaK0nK7dW67bPDQOnWEq55ugeOhASN_tjkYSngzKsHDi8CNJC7W9uFRTRbwxWK6_/s1600/IMG_4448.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxA64TIpfah-bla0wYAS6Ze2Ck5xkMQsg8CUB-7E113Ce5FlQHZFtyBGMbyM7tgco8m0n1UEqn4uRhdL4dYq87OKxVFQrkUesWzaVrA7qZPRxg8pjya2-5XJyHDCecCwh-27F8UxgVqkK7/s1600/IMG_4449.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfyoZnIT9mQdS4CNUaZVJqfLECaMH9wMLuiqemSg-2ixWloeJ-0dm7zIqMWIhKRiqnOm270C0N2lVg7DKHmsTqu5t1nyMUS6xeOrVcnfwEW5DqxZfmT31YPWGQL7h_GPaJjJOOX0ZvnzTo/s1600/IMG_4448.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfyoZnIT9mQdS4CNUaZVJqfLECaMH9wMLuiqemSg-2ixWloeJ-0dm7zIqMWIhKRiqnOm270C0N2lVg7DKHmsTqu5t1nyMUS6xeOrVcnfwEW5DqxZfmT31YPWGQL7h_GPaJjJOOX0ZvnzTo/s320/IMG_4448.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><br /> My next project was a bigger one. It was redecorating my craft space. If any of you have been here before you know that it was a Twilight corner. That being over and done with, at least for me, I was ready for something fresh. So down it all came, sniffle sniffle. <br />I have always loved the pink and orange combo, at least since High School when I really wanted to make a prom dress with the combo, but didn't. And the colors seem to fit the trends right now so that is where I went, with a pop of blue. I had to work with the green walls because I was not up for the undertaking of repainting an entire room. I am 7 months pregnant people. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXr-fNBwa8Luhq6Gs1qZEMgLM6-HXDkwSsiP1rkVjS4uIi7c5JY1-6cd60n8JFFMSwvMwk_LqTB4KiuvXa6myLtLX5_sTf11mnamn7e1WH_UA4gaAA4XPrLbTAs4VFZlXkUmLPn5M51EqG/s1600/IMG_4445.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXr-fNBwa8Luhq6Gs1qZEMgLM6-HXDkwSsiP1rkVjS4uIi7c5JY1-6cd60n8JFFMSwvMwk_LqTB4KiuvXa6myLtLX5_sTf11mnamn7e1WH_UA4gaAA4XPrLbTAs4VFZlXkUmLPn5M51EqG/s320/IMG_4445.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>Again having taken inspiration from Pinterest I decided to attempt my own canvas art. Again not a fave but glad I tried, you can always paint over it at some point right. I used acrylic paint and just went with it.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxA64TIpfah-bla0wYAS6Ze2Ck5xkMQsg8CUB-7E113Ce5FlQHZFtyBGMbyM7tgco8m0n1UEqn4uRhdL4dYq87OKxVFQrkUesWzaVrA7qZPRxg8pjya2-5XJyHDCecCwh-27F8UxgVqkK7/s1600/IMG_4449.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxA64TIpfah-bla0wYAS6Ze2Ck5xkMQsg8CUB-7E113Ce5FlQHZFtyBGMbyM7tgco8m0n1UEqn4uRhdL4dYq87OKxVFQrkUesWzaVrA7qZPRxg8pjya2-5XJyHDCecCwh-27F8UxgVqkK7/s320/IMG_4449.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>Another Pinterest idea was the quote bubble frames. I liked this idea for the fact that we all have quotes we like but there is always another quote that comes along that says something else to us. This way you can use the glass like a white board and change up your quotes with the mood. Hopefully inspiring ones, since it is a craft space. I spray painted the frames and used a pencil eraser and white acrylic paint to outline the bubble. I also painted a little clock I had on hand and added it to the grouping, I was quite pleased with it.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCbxr8-jiZsGLty-pFmtA2ypTLS5LBtxNBeplR5u5NqevLN2W5PsPuYETjZQ5mtGUdgDZ04x96nB0ilZ2Ag6tnQPvHKvwLNOBDbVnQrACgHyqM7S1DwXg_ZgeGgbiN7JZby6fIc8qCglJR/s1600/IMG_4452.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCbxr8-jiZsGLty-pFmtA2ypTLS5LBtxNBeplR5u5NqevLN2W5PsPuYETjZQ5mtGUdgDZ04x96nB0ilZ2Ag6tnQPvHKvwLNOBDbVnQrACgHyqM7S1DwXg_ZgeGgbiN7JZby6fIc8qCglJR/s200/IMG_4452.jpg" width="133" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEhyGvNxINPaseG8bXcZYw7L8o3H-AWWKbQQ8ITe86dGEIJfjYGpPwtyeneqH53PJxztimiGxA19dPaQYKsAqChWTXu-EuFkaFxooUo6xub7DM6sgxtq85ZEdhjpy2K4ujz-tYaZk5QWb0/s1600/IMG_4451.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEhyGvNxINPaseG8bXcZYw7L8o3H-AWWKbQQ8ITe86dGEIJfjYGpPwtyeneqH53PJxztimiGxA19dPaQYKsAqChWTXu-EuFkaFxooUo6xub7DM6sgxtq85ZEdhjpy2K4ujz-tYaZk5QWb0/s320/IMG_4451.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> Another project I had to try was the DIY canvas photos. And guess what? It worked! I was leery and therein lied my mistake. I actually redid two of the pictures because, not knowing how well they would turn out, wasn't picky enough with the original printing of the pictures. So once I had them Modge Podged to the canvas, I was bothered by the imperfections (ink smudges on their faces). So take it from another of my mistakes, do it right the first time. I used the technique of printing the photo onto tissue paper. NOTE: make sure your tissue paper isn't a glossy tissue, this makes the ink bleed I think, second make sure the printed picture is just as you want it, I am a miser when it comes to my printer ink so I didn't reprint when I should have costing me two canvases, and third make sure your modge podge is painted on as smooth as you can get it. If you leave ridges or clumps that will remain in the texture of your canvas.<br />I am missing two pictures, thus the empty corners, because I used two canvas' on messups. And have to purchase two more and finish the collage.<br /><br /> I used the 6x6 canvases from Close To My Heart as well as their Claire paper packet.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqyfdNbWiPjtGAAXFtDfXQ73BdLvGxYhDGIHb8tBqpDumtS8JgLoRO3OtZpY9evD3UwS76Q-1IEqq5XAmIDJ3w5Dnfk36PC257n1Pe3vwa8Ly53Rlcm740K-D-bwxCCihcbkODF2ilm_2k/s1600/IMG_4450.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqyfdNbWiPjtGAAXFtDfXQ73BdLvGxYhDGIHb8tBqpDumtS8JgLoRO3OtZpY9evD3UwS76Q-1IEqq5XAmIDJ3w5Dnfk36PC257n1Pe3vwa8Ly53Rlcm740K-D-bwxCCihcbkODF2ilm_2k/s320/IMG_4450.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> This was a use of two sheets of metal I had lying around. This was fun, especially finding the wooden letters on sale when I was out shopping for them. They are nice big letters too. I stenciled additional words onto some of the letters "dream", "inspire" and "love". I may add more words to the collage as time goes by.<br />I also (which I forgot to take photos of) recovered two old pillows with some fun fabric I found with pink and orange in the pattern. I also used the same fabric, to basically make a "pillowcase" in which I used to cover one of the vinyl chairs in the room. It just added a bit more color to the room.<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEge_anwpbLlldXdWJwXOAKhYjy_RkPWXKUP8fDyqqgNtLNplAZH2o4sGcewqcuF3k3IH5CYysF7bIkuYbwtJRxE8mF8n6fjjfh44Psw-0060LFyJBO3kfSt84IabgEH8cMBqaXgkiMLrnI_/s1600/IMG_4465.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEge_anwpbLlldXdWJwXOAKhYjy_RkPWXKUP8fDyqqgNtLNplAZH2o4sGcewqcuF3k3IH5CYysF7bIkuYbwtJRxE8mF8n6fjjfh44Psw-0060LFyJBO3kfSt84IabgEH8cMBqaXgkiMLrnI_/s320/IMG_4465.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">These two projects are done by two wonderful women. My little boys birthday. I will be honest. I took the easy way out on this one. But hey pregnancy is a good excuse right. I had originally planned on making a truck out of cake. That is all my little guy has asked for for the past month, a "truck cake". But two days before I realized that I didn't want to spend my entire day on my feet in the kitchen and went for the dirt cake (crushed oreos and toffee bits on top of chocolate cake) placed in the back of a Tonka truck. He had wanted a dump truck anyways and we didn't have anything else for him really so it worked out great. A cake and toy all in one. And it was so much easier. <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDkrzEahe1mNM1V3HNP-DM_wBEiqzz1HawCY5VPniDB79pBLmg7LJqUId7XWRwV4F9mOIuBdz2wcbyDR7BuI2JUc30MxBfjUO0jyAk1TIGNvbfbh1A32Pc48gzP-sV-3XjmrNTGHoTGxKB/s1600/IMG_4483.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDkrzEahe1mNM1V3HNP-DM_wBEiqzz1HawCY5VPniDB79pBLmg7LJqUId7XWRwV4F9mOIuBdz2wcbyDR7BuI2JUc30MxBfjUO0jyAk1TIGNvbfbh1A32Pc48gzP-sV-3XjmrNTGHoTGxKB/s320/IMG_4483.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>Another simple but fun addition to the decor was the streamer. I just stamped a pattern on a few pieces of crate paper and walla! Loved how it turned out.<br /><br />Well thanks for indulging me on my craft download. Don't expect much for a few months. Baby is due in May and I don't see myself in the craft corner much, outside in the garden if children permit. So have a great spring! This year I actually got around to putting one together. Easier said than done. Here is my list of do's and don'ts for making a stringed garland.<br /><br />Don't- use cheap paper, unless you are willing to work with the deficiencies. I bought the pack of Valentine paper from Target in the $1 section. Didn't plan on using the same garland next year cuz I figured it would get too easily tangled in storage The down side of this was that the paper is one sided and very lite. <br /><br />Do-<b> use double sided paper</b>, unless you like the white side in your arrangement.<br /><br />Do- <b>use a real sewing machine</b>. I tried to cut a big corner and use my tiny craft sewing machine and it was more trouble that it was worth. The stitching is way obvious and easily comes unraveled. <br /><br />Don't- sew through the middle. Unless you were smart and used two sided paper. Since the top of my hearts were heavier they tended to go to the bottom making it the upside down and back of each heart. I remedied this by applying a dab of glue to the back/bottom of the conflicted hearts to weigh the bottoms down. Being cheeper thin paper they then puckered from this but from a distance you can't tell. <br /><br />So Do- <b>sew across the top</b>.<br /><br />The one thing I do like about the lighter paper is that they flutter so much prettier when hung. <br /><br />Storage- if you love it and want to keep it for years to come I am sure you could, with patience, fold them accordion style and paper clip them together to prevent tangling. )Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04505543435529862001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7461595987000524115.post-51217199491735046112013-02-03T13:28:00.000-08:002014-05-21T10:43:54.201-07:00Happy Valentines Day!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-KrGwbVWhH5P5X2tpwY1mLu4iPzlP2G2kpI7o5f7i9lFFbjCemL_WAYfthER8gcAIMzssQyg6vpaM6p9f2rUX_hElkn30T8g4DOZHe-_MPXG22AWm5M6mGQ2qZs0H3ih3V2mAtcc-kXao/s1600/IMG_0667.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-KrGwbVWhH5P5X2tpwY1mLu4iPzlP2G2kpI7o5f7i9lFFbjCemL_WAYfthER8gcAIMzssQyg6vpaM6p9f2rUX_hElkn30T8g4DOZHe-_MPXG22AWm5M6mGQ2qZs0H3ih3V2mAtcc-kXao/s320/IMG_0667.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>Wanted to share the love before it hits the mailbox. My Pinterest board said I pinned it 11 months ago. I had bought the paper and the canvas and was just waiting till the motivation hit I guess.<br /><blockquote class="tr_bq">The original owl was taken from Close To My Heart but my pin leads to nowhere so I can't link you to where I found it, it may have been on our Consultant page. </blockquote><br />Anyways here they are and please excuse the photographs. The weather is really gloomy so lighting was nil. Then I made the owls a bit glossy making using the flash a frustration. Somethings look better in person, lol.<br /><br />Size may be deceiving. The base under the owls is a 12X12 card stock. The original project that I was basing mine on was just the 12x12 size canvas, but I had trouble finding inexpensive 12x12 canvas so I purchased bigger and added the embellishments to the sides.<br /><br />The pieced owl was done free hand so don't go searching for the template like I did at first. You can do it! The embellishments or "yo yo's" were made using the Artiste cartridge from Close To My Heart. Paper used was Elemental which is discontinued, I had bought it early last year for this project. I dry embossed the 12x12 backing by scoring lines then sanding the raised area. The beak and wings were adhered using foam tape to give them height. <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpeUjYY1ASMZSTo0vrFv9DsWPhmVGEmL0xE2A0e2m7XG9rpBOmpjn6GgQ3qFvuAOQt9ZiJ1XJrGGRcYUDfjcB9tgB-tykb7tKFmjAQ0nhvNw4Af8D3EL-ytoke41Jay7QfiBh6vjVDPqhw/s1600/IMG_4334.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpeUjYY1ASMZSTo0vrFv9DsWPhmVGEmL0xE2A0e2m7XG9rpBOmpjn6GgQ3qFvuAOQt9ZiJ1XJrGGRcYUDfjcB9tgB-tykb7tKFmjAQ0nhvNw4Af8D3EL-ytoke41Jay7QfiBh6vjVDPqhw/s320/IMG_4334.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1sG7QI2lzJL3n1cKGThRWFJa5-3gIRFMt2jNlXcU5-Xakw7Hg_PYNikvBlWy5dbf7tFE-wVioiXooe-mo7mxhSkNrnN76eFExsNhTbK7LWiHFpz2_lgvbKugG8zgCMW-ElC8IH2fO2_Bv/s1600/IMG_4336.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1sG7QI2lzJL3n1cKGThRWFJa5-3gIRFMt2jNlXcU5-Xakw7Hg_PYNikvBlWy5dbf7tFE-wVioiXooe-mo7mxhSkNrnN76eFExsNhTbK7LWiHFpz2_lgvbKugG8zgCMW-ElC8IH2fO2_Bv/s320/IMG_4336.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>Warning: I used modge podge for the final adhering. Wasn't ready for the end result. It made my paper pucker. So if you like your flat finish use another strong glue. I had wanted a shiny finished look and thought it was the way to go. It added to the look for sure. Just be warned it will warp a bit. Makes it look a bit plastic like, perhaps more durable ;) <br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmTVvyNBex0cIeoWbNnLajIUN781Uk30uESYmkU8YZhd9v80utRR94pEKi9HBMtA1dUgHeCrEUP73lNr3RzmcAcQb6h6ieH26t_UxssP3zkBz874hyphenhyphenbUx5q6XvUciIbPBEL2WXk2JKYuCR/s1600/IMG_4332+-+Version+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmTVvyNBex0cIeoWbNnLajIUN781Uk30uESYmkU8YZhd9v80utRR94pEKi9HBMtA1dUgHeCrEUP73lNr3RzmcAcQb6h6ieH26t_UxssP3zkBz874hyphenhyphenbUx5q6XvUciIbPBEL2WXk2JKYuCR/s320/IMG_4332+-+Version+2.jpg" width="213" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjff3B1fTtxRol0DJ-GrxAGdKIqLdrtPoz5c5-NF5B1lgY8XKOtNTEKcLJxVIuj9Bkhe07l7IUHLfg652zLqMMRchyphenhyphen41EWBuasGzzoeGbduljHo6GH5E2BlWVpYyug2NWlI58pmfFvTpYRK/s1600/IMG_4339.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjff3B1fTtxRol0DJ-GrxAGdKIqLdrtPoz5c5-NF5B1lgY8XKOtNTEKcLJxVIuj9Bkhe07l7IUHLfg652zLqMMRchyphenhyphen41EWBuasGzzoeGbduljHo6GH5E2BlWVpYyug2NWlI58pmfFvTpYRK/s320/IMG_4339.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><br /> I added some stamp distressing to the canvas. I love this. Twist my arm and make me be creative. Whether its handouts for a class or helping a neighbor create her Christmas gifts it gives me the excuse. Last week my sweet Grandmother passed away, quite quickly actually. My mother asked me, "since I do that sort of thing", lol, to collect pictures of our family with grandma and put them on a poster board. Well I had thousands of pictures to sift through and only 2 days to get it together but I did create something somewhat presentable I think. I was grateful that I had ordered the Clementine paper kit on a whim and had it on hand, it worked perfectly. <br />Hope this gives you some creative inspiration next time you are under the clock ;)<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD8Nwt-9Z_wcXHq8JyXuNWbZybLa6bgm7vuApj5J6hU0wKKklWXhOyYdq0nK3CQ6NEJINJN-Aiy4s4vvkyg8XDkrw3ieOkMm-AgQ6z0YX5N1lex_oeqA4U-yqrdFWLfKI65o0vCB-RrcYs/s1600/IMG_4152.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="546" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD8Nwt-9Z_wcXHq8JyXuNWbZybLa6bgm7vuApj5J6hU0wKKklWXhOyYdq0nK3CQ6NEJINJN-Aiy4s4vvkyg8XDkrw3ieOkMm-AgQ6z0YX5N1lex_oeqA4U-yqrdFWLfKI65o0vCB-RrcYs/s640/IMG_4152.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>My Grandmother loved clocks, she had more than we could count all over her house. She also loved birds. So I incorporated those memories in as well. I loved having all of the supplies on hand for such project. Then its off to the craft room and I hope to have something to share. These Valentine goodies are on the top of my list. I think they will be great teacher gifts when filled with school supplies! So fun. Check the whole kit out on my website. <br />I still have tons of scrapbooking to do but also have a baby on the way and hope to add a few touches to his room before he comes. Good luck to me. <br />I hope you find some time and some creative inspiration during these cold winter months!Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04505543435529862001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7461595987000524115.post-80390505905836960202012-10-26T08:27:00.000-07:002014-05-21T10:43:54.312-07:00Have a Wicked HalloweenI haven't been feeling especially well lately but had this really cute wood project that I really hated to leave for next year. So I was braver than expected and had my children help me get it done. My daughter especially was ecstatic. I need to let them help more often and not be concerned with a "perfect" project.<br />And here we go...<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4m4-MI-xFRyOYhtoU87P8l5vefIVSfG9VH4J4kBl37kXxMbhiBZ81XBggVIUWBgGaeBaQTCA6b0M14Rk1UbSn9R9hChpxaDsp0WM06BJjYZJMBsShywr1PZ1AAYnKBulPKSHVUD05g2bO/s1600/IMG_6064.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4m4-MI-xFRyOYhtoU87P8l5vefIVSfG9VH4J4kBl37kXxMbhiBZ81XBggVIUWBgGaeBaQTCA6b0M14Rk1UbSn9R9hChpxaDsp0WM06BJjYZJMBsShywr1PZ1AAYnKBulPKSHVUD05g2bO/s320/IMG_6064.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> Purchase this little pile of wood from a local wood cut craft type store:)<br /><br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpVrIJXJDdKVJp1EOxBYcsvv773WmEb0GPdgaRy9zgryHrntLDYFl80-0_EqtOHRV3zL849xufTdEM3mZQU7P7E0a6Lb0G-S_cCOT5N-RJ99tZ6Y5IG7d19oK8xtqbSkFwPC2B4n92vIFl/s1600/IMG_6065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpVrIJXJDdKVJp1EOxBYcsvv773WmEb0GPdgaRy9zgryHrntLDYFl80-0_EqtOHRV3zL849xufTdEM3mZQU7P7E0a6Lb0G-S_cCOT5N-RJ99tZ6Y5IG7d19oK8xtqbSkFwPC2B4n92vIFl/s320/IMG_6065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> Set the kids to work painting. I used Moonlight paper Kit -item x7161B and modge podge to cover a few pieces. I love this paper kit, very classic Halloween. Realizing that a couple of my letters were a bit blah, I stamped a few Halloween images on them. I think I like it, the spider and webs on the c are my fave. As well as the fluff on the hat.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH1m5PDkwVpnxgi_KEeJU2yVL40ANr0ERpCJkG17zqPlTQgrtDyI5AIx1rvjn_IqEeew9I6anc57hgDUbO20QUITLSiFAsNiMeLRPWronJCm5VErZ_eZRWHR41IoJ6jh_8kQzbNKeb50ZB/s1600/IMG_6075.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiH1m5PDkwVpnxgi_KEeJU2yVL40ANr0ERpCJkG17zqPlTQgrtDyI5AIx1rvjn_IqEeew9I6anc57hgDUbO20QUITLSiFAsNiMeLRPWronJCm5VErZ_eZRWHR41IoJ6jh_8kQzbNKeb50ZB/s320/IMG_6075.jpg" width="240" /></a></div> Over all I love it. I think of mine and chuckle. I love it. But I have come to the realization that the story is almost at its conclusion and at that point Twilight Corner will probably get a make over. Not sure what my "theme" will be but its rattling around in my head. I am always slow to pick up fads but I like this one a lot! But I have discovered that making little girl sweet ones is much easier than making boy ones. For girls there are flowers, butterflies, flowers, hearts, flowers. And for boys...well I made one work and my sister-in-law said she loved it so...<br />I used the chip board banner and the attached images were cut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge. Note: new catalog comes out in August and the summer release is "out with the old and in with the new" so if you've been waiting to get the Cart, careful you don't miss out. <br /><br />Have fun making one for someone you love or to cheer up a little spot in your home.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4rIor84hXOJm6LYjYpKWl5LKrB2EOBqWBuK4WO6sIm2T_UcXmw1K1-OXIg2AlEDPHRowofcmf9CRWA31bSJLpf4BjPtD_82DGn5B3at0vgFAz1Kc28aVHinIWiowmq4XzK63hkavm6h7h/s1600/IMG_2536.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="210" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4rIor84hXOJm6LYjYpKWl5LKrB2EOBqWBuK4WO6sIm2T_UcXmw1K1-OXIg2AlEDPHRowofcmf9CRWA31bSJLpf4BjPtD_82DGn5B3at0vgFAz1Kc28aVHinIWiowmq4XzK63hkavm6h7h/s320/IMG_2536.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> This one is done using the Lucy Workshop on the Go kit. I love recipes! They make creating something so fast and easy.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB_n_cDN2-HFri6hvjOm9kJ2AN0UUv4V5m3opKM3U8GoiMlZXxIIEpL_0HQAG9Yt2kWIKBqzQkYoY48xKBBXqhDR8STH4lTSDfU9WWgDSBBgZstcYL8S_mv92krYu2MKq7c4Hp6W7dboHo/s1600/IMG_3653.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB_n_cDN2-HFri6hvjOm9kJ2AN0UUv4V5m3opKM3U8GoiMlZXxIIEpL_0HQAG9Yt2kWIKBqzQkYoY48xKBBXqhDR8STH4lTSDfU9WWgDSBBgZstcYL8S_mv92krYu2MKq7c4Hp6W7dboHo/s640/IMG_3653.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> This one was made using my own thinking. Ouch! Like I said, finding images that were baby boyish was a but tough for me but I think I did ok.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC4V-WlAUiTTv4uwwyJdBY9wfMaetRF6w3oUAWhplJI0QQNxvUcovXtas9bh7xw5wfuPl86CdvO_50k9aZdCil0DTN30cSLY98rMCkzY9CVQpafUk3J9RgziQxxd6mcvNOwHAOg9P0klS4/s1600/IMG_3657.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgC4V-WlAUiTTv4uwwyJdBY9wfMaetRF6w3oUAWhplJI0QQNxvUcovXtas9bh7xw5wfuPl86CdvO_50k9aZdCil0DTN30cSLY98rMCkzY9CVQpafUk3J9RgziQxxd6mcvNOwHAOg9P0klS4/s320/IMG_3657.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>I also enjoy using our new Color Ready binding ribbon. I colored it with Grey Wool ink to match my project.<br />I do need to point out that the lettering on the NYLE banner was not CTMH. They were some extra chip board letters I had.Jessehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04505543435529862001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7461595987000524115.post-1671133842065458092012-06-18T20:18:00.000-07:002014-05-21T10:43:54.468-07:00Snap the Water Fun!Played around with the camera with the kids playing in the water.
